Surfing
Opposite the park is the right hand point break of Kennett River, nice long rides. Works best on the low tide and is suitable for all ability levels and is ideal for both longboarders and short boarders. The river mouth has a nice righthand break that works on a higher tide. A short walk from the park gets you around to Sawmills, a great right hander which only works when the swell has increased in size. A short drive towards Apollo Bay brings you to the more powerful waves of Boneyards and Pink House.
Fishing
There's no better fishing area than the Otway Coast between Lorne and Apollo Bay. With rocks, rivers, the beach and boat fishing, everyone is catered for. Its wild, remote and the fishing is great!
King George Whiting, Salmon and Snapper are common. Popular baits are squid, blue bait and pipis.
There is mullet and bream fishing in the estuary of Wye and Kennett Rivers with trout and eels found further upstream. Boat launch areas off the beach are found at the 163km sign post between Wye and Kennett only a couple of hundred metres from the park, 4WD vehicles essential.
Driving
There are some fantastic drives and motorcycle rides to complete taking in the best of the Great Ocean Road and the Otway Ranges. There are numerous planned tourist routes such as the Coast and Ranges Drive, the Forrest and Views Drive and the Waterfalls and Rainforest Drive.
There are many 4WD tracks throughout the Otway's. Most dirt roads from the Great Ocean Road join the Benwerrin - Mt Sabine Road creating some wonderful circular drives. Many of these roads are closed seasonally.
Dining & Shopping
Koala Cove Cafe in Kennett River has a good selection of grocery items, take-away food, coffee and are well known for their burgers. Open 7 days a week.
The Rookery Nook Hotel in Wye River has probably the best views along the coast. They have meals available 7 days a week. Take-away Alcohol sales and a pool table.
The General at Wye River have a good range of grocery items, take-away food and a great restaurant. Open 7 days a week.
Lorne & Apollo Bay have a great selection of Cafes, Restaurants and Take-away shops. There is a great selection of clothing, boutique shops and galleries. All your needs are covered with Supermarkets, Butcher, Green Grocer, Chemist, Newsagency, Post Office, Hardware Store, Hospitals and Doctors.
Tourist Attractions
Otway Fly

Cape Otway Light Station
